Artist's Comments

A sort of testing setup for a machinery prototype. Really just an excuse to do something Masamune Shirow-esque. Oh yeah, the Smudge Tool in Photoshop is something I really should have discovered sooner.

It... uh... it doesn't appear to be quite working. The big hand is in a completely different position from her own.

Unless I'm misapprehending the purpose of the device?

She probably just discovered that her XP drivers won't work with Vista. Heheh, seriously: The test rig is just booting up, and the fingers are locked into a neutral pose until the software loads.

Neat concept, I like.
:iconbrawnfire:
Oh, that makes sense.

Well, it's not like we'd know that just by looking at it :P, nonetheless, it's really cool :D

I'd expect some kinda visor (or visor monocle of some sort) to go with. So far- it seems the only part of this piece that seems to matter is just the arm and the holo.

Yes, that's the problem with a lot of this sort of thing. Much of what's going on isn't self-evident. She does have a viewer, actually: it's the small cylinder on the left side of her face with the piece of angled glass on the front.

Fantastic work. Despite all of the machinery affixed to her, her pose is quite natural. The skin tones are convincing too. That, and it's just plain cool over all. =)
