I've been doing some illustrations for a book project that'll be wrapping up around the end of the year. Once this is done I'm going to try and scrape together a little bit of side work doing concept art. Mechanical design stuff, if I can get it. To this end I'm putting together a dozen fresh pieces or so, and I thought I'd show them off as they go through the process of being created. These'll all be colored, ultimately.

I've gotten bitten by the retrofuturistic bug, or maybe it's just an immune reaction against all the godawful steampunk stuff I seem to see everywhere these days. Classic cars from the 30s always looked to me like they should be flying, so I thought I've give one a chance.
