Artist's Comments

This is a power armor design for a game. The overall aesthetic of the game (and this suit in particular) is heavily influenced by the work of Kow Yokoyama. His Maschinen Krieger/SF3D work was an invaluable inspiration for the look the game designers hoped to achieve. I went back and forth with the art director to perfect the concept and I included the progress sketches to show the nature of the workflow.

I'd love to understand how the overly larger-than-the-pilot arms move. It looks like a bucket of kickass :)

Awesome. I like this design better than the other one even though it's "simpler". It's cool how your drawing wasn't very accurate and detailed, but once you colored it, it looked great.

It's basically a direct ripoff of the layout for the Maschinen Krieger power armor types: The legs extend all the way down, and the arms extend to the wrists.
